Down's Syndrome Association

This website was created in partnership with Green Jersey Web Design.

The Down's Syndrome Association is a registered UK charity who offer support to people who have Down's Syndrome, their families & friends, or those interested in learning more about the condition.

Accessibility was high priority

The site features extensive content which has been structured in order to maximise navigation for it's users. Accessibility was also high priority, and the site features a custom-built accessible template with font resizer and integrated text-to-speech capability using Textic's text-to-speech plugin, "Talklets", which was integrated seamlessly into the template.

The new site has been an incredible success, with results speaking for themselves: fewer phone calls and incoming emails due to visitors finding exactly what they want far more quickly.

The site has a clean, modern style using a custom design from Green Jersey.  We were commissioned to build the template and site framework using Joomla! 1.5.
